Our summer cruise started this year with a passage to Padstow, where we stayed for most of half-term week in glorious sunshine.
We got round to Mylor in time for some wet weather, and to discover the excelent local pubs!
We took advantage of a good day to go to Plymouth before the forecast storm arrived. We sheltered in the Mayflower Marina, and Jono visited us.
We made a dash for Dartmouth in a slight lull in the strong winds.
With much nicer weather, we sailed to Torquay. Then across Lyme Bay to Portland to wait for good weather and tide to go across the Channel to Guernsey.
After nearly a week in Portland – including a visit from Anna – we set off for Guernsey in good weather, and spent a glorious week in St Peter Port.
We crossed back directly to Dartmouth to save having to cross Lyme Bay again. We sailed back to Torquay with Kirsten and Andy, and visited Jane’s house while we were close.
Our return home started with a leg to Plymouth, then to Falmouth to pick up Niv and Steve for Newlyn and back to Padstow.
We stayed in both Padstow and Swansea for several days before sailing back to Portishead.
